About Us

The idea started among friends. So many ideas—so little space. Every time there were project ideas there was a lot of work involved: Multiple trips to multiple stores—endless table or counter space—and the dreaded cleanup by dinnertime. If the project didn’t get finished, where did it end up? The storage room was so full of stuff - crafting stuff. There was nowhere to put the unfinished stuff. So in the end, we had spent a lot of money on unfinished projects for the next garage sale.

We needed help! We needed a place to work on our inspirations. We needed accessible tools. We needed fresh supplies. We needed a place that we could make a mess. After an extensive search of older downtown areas, we chose Littleton to be our first location. Being an art focused community, Littleton inspired us even more to enrich the arts in the downtown area. Our idea was originally to find an old charming house with a courtyard area for working outside on nice days. We found the perfect place!

Built in 1912, our house provides the charm and inspiration of the historical downtown. We have rooms specifically designed for individual projects and workspace. After thoroughly covering ourselves in paint and sawdust for the house remodel, in August, 2004, CreARTive, the Studio was born!

CreARTive, the Studio is a place to enjoy working and playing. Planning life around the people and things that we enjoy most are the biggest benefits of having such a wonderful studio. Our kids have benefited by being able to spend time with us in an environment which is child friendly... not office oriented. Our motto is, "Do what you love and the rest will follow." Family is the main reason for doing what we love.
